Piccoli Smalti’s design objects are unique pieces that tell a story. Giovanna Ferrero Ventimiglia started from the contemporary relaunch of a thousand-year-old artisan technique: the processing of hot enamel. She has studied it thoroughly and went to Florence to find the best artisans capable of meticulously crafting, with the cloisonné technique, the enameled carrés with which she creates lamps with a deco allure, jewel-like boxes and small sculptures as hieratic as abstract icons.
Piccoli Smalti objects are the result of a passionate design, manual skill, long hours of artisanal crafting and a knowledge that is handed down over time.
Today, by Giovanna’s choice, Piccoli Smalti moves in a circular economy perspective with a very limited production divided into two lines, one characterized by the use of enamel, the other, GFV Creations, by the use of the bronze casting on the ground technique, realized in an artisan foundry in Milan, in collaboration with GLab Studio.
The e-shop catalog is presented to the customer with two timing possibilities: the “in stock” one whereby the chosen object is immediately available with a standard delivery of 7/10 working days or the “made to order” possibility in which, if the object is not in stock, is produced and delivered to the customer in a period of time ranging from 4 to 6 working weeks.
